Experience Art

The Stellenbosch Arts Association was established on 29 March 2006. It evolved from the Artist’s Circle of Stellenbosch to create a new organization that serves the needs of both artists and non-artists from across the Winelands with an interest in visual arts.

Our Aim

As a non-profit organization, the association’s income and assets are exclusively used to further its aims and objectives.

Members’ Exhibitions

The association hosts two annual members’ exhibitions. The first is a curated exhibition held in June, while the second is an uncurated mini exhibition held in September. Both exhibitions are held at the PJ Olivier Art Centre.

Talks

Several talks are hosted throughout the year, featuring artists and art experts as speakers. If there’s a topic you’re interested in learning more about, please share it with us. We aim to keep the talks engaging and relevant for our members.

Workshops

We’ve hosted a variety of workshops and courses, with each workshop tailored to meet the specific needs of our members.

Discounts

We have partnerships with select art supply stores to offer discounts to our members. Simply present your Art Association membership card at the checkout to receive your discount on art supplies.

Excursions

Art appreciation excursions to art museums or artist studios.

SANAVA MEMBERSHIP

Membership with the South African National Association for Visual Arts, the umbrella organization for visual arts in South Africa.

Children’s Program

School holiday programs during winter holiday.
